MoST Content Management System Demonstration

MoST is a very versatile product allowing content to be used in a whole variety of ways other than displaying standard web pages.

content can be embedded into other content allowing the ability to merge multiple documents into one creating editable regions within the document giving the ability for a user to only be allowed to edit a portion of a document.  Another use for embedded content is to display specific content to an authenticated user based off the permissions the user has to areas of the website.

Another use for content is a feature we refer to as dynamic navigation.  This uses the hierarchy of the site to determine what content should be displayed to the user.  Dynamic navigation will look for a specified document within the folder that the user is viewing content from.  If the document doesn't exist, then the system will look for the document in the previous folder and so on until the root of the website is reached.  When a document is located, it's content is displayed to the user.

Parts of the document itself can also be displayed, such as the date the document was create, modified, published or when it will expire.  The abstract for the document can also be displayed.

Other ways of displaying content is using a document list.  A document list will display a list of all the documents located within a specified folder.  Items can be listed by description, date modified, date created or randomly, in ascending or descending order.  What is displayed in a document list can also be defined allowing document lists to be used for FAQs, knowledge bases, news, jobs and event dynamically generating navigation.

Other features that can be used are header links, which display a list of all the headings located below it and RSS feeds as displayed on the right.
